Dipping our toes into the photography world.

I'm a new amateur photographer (is that redundant, probably but whatever) and while I still have a LOT to learn about my new camera and how to operate it, I am having a lot of fun as I go.  Of course my little monkey is my favorite subject, but our fur-kids work well in a pinch as well.  I just recently entered the DSLR world and bought my first "grown up" camera, a Canon T2i Rebel.  I LOVE IT!  Not only does it keep up with the speed of H (well for the most part anyway) but the colors it can capture are amazing.  Of course keeping up with an almost-one-year-old limits the time I can dedicate to learning all about the settings and options, I figure hands-on will work so any chance I have to get the camera out I do.  Here are a few early shots.

The animals make for good subjects as they are a little more cooperative than H is, he tends to try to run towards me when I get the camera out, or run away.  Who am I kidding, he runs all the time regardless of the camera.  hahaha!  I am waiting anxiously for the weather to get warmer so that I can test out all the great natural light we get in spring and summer.  I will add a separate post of some great shots of the little monkey on another night.  It's late (well late for me anyway) and I need to get some rest, it's been a long week and it's only Wednesday!
