OK so this is my first attempt at blogging, and I'm not sure who on earth would even be interested in reading what I have to say, but I figure why the heck not?! H is sleeping and I'm typing fast and furiously anticipating him waking any minute to interrupt me and leave this project 1/2 completed. Nobody warned me that being a mommy meant having 14 things going on at once, none of which you get to ever finish. I have Christmas presents that haven't been mailed yet, and it's February, FEBRUARY for crying out loud. I have a quilt I have been working on since, I kid you not, August... it's finally being quilted but try finding time to sit down at the sewing machine and finish it when you have a kid who stood up and started walking at the ripe-old-age of 9 1/2 months. Yeah, it's near impossible. Add to that a big dog who likes to be in the way and cats who seem to like to puke on the carpet at the most inopportune time and it's amazing anything gets accomplished at all. Not that I'm complaining, I love every second of being the little monkey's Mommy, I feel so privileged to have the opportunity to share life with him, I'm just exhausted is all. :)
So what is my goal for this blog, other than to vent? Well it's to share my crazy life so other mommy's don't think they are the only ones experiencing the chaos that the midwife forgot to include in the "so you're going to be a mommy" handbook, and it's a place to post some of my craftiness for feedback. I would really love to get the opportunity to find a way to work from home and spend more time with my little monkey, because I know that as crazy as it is, every moment is precious, and I'm trying to steal all that I can.
